Paintball
If you didn't get enough of the inner warrior out of your system when you were a kid "playing Army," there's still hope. But now it takes the form of the far more realistic paintball adventures that you and your fellow Spartans can enjoy. Paintball is a fun sport and it even has the added benefit of keeping you in great shape.
Beginning Steps
Paintball is an easy sport to get into. All you really need is a gun and the requisite paintballs which are of negligible cost. You'll also want a helmet for safety, but it also has the added benefit of making you look like a badass cyborg. And since paint on your clothes always makes your mother mad come washday, you will probably want to indulge in buying a coverall suit. These suits range in cost from very little to very elaborate and expensive, although it's cheap when you compare it to getting a ration of you-know-what from your spouse/mother when you come home covered in paint.

Where to Go
Ever sensing the almighty buck, the paintball craze has captured the imagination of entrepreneurs everywhere, who have built huge indoor as well as outdoor ranges in order to provide hobbyists with somewhere to release their brand of terror on their friends. Again, some of these ranges are quite elaborate, with everything you need, from wooded areas to urban landscapes. Some paintball enthusiasts also use solitary fields of their own choosing, but you need to be careful since not everybody is thrilled at the prospect of having little paint splatters all over their property. It's probably best to confine your combat to areas that are approved for such use. Either way, paintball is loads of excitement and fun. After all, it will keep your adrenaline going for as long as you have ammo and if you do run out of ammo mid-fight, well, you're a goner. There can't be anything that's more exciting than hunting or being hunted.
The Object
The point of all this is, of course, to take out your fellow soldiers on these mock battlefields. You and your friends will need to determine what constitutes a "kill," since that's often a matter of opinion. It's great fun when you and your fellow combatants can work around well-constructed barriers to keep yourself "alive" and remain the last person standing. The truth is that besides getting yourself covered head to toe with paint splatters, paintball is great fun. And once the battles are over, most participants head for their local hangout to revel in their victories, where the "one that got away" is usually the guy or gal who is sitting next to you. If you want anything more elaborate, join the Army.
